Who is Jesus?

There is a Perfect God

First, we need to start at the beginning— there is a God, who created everything in Heaven and on Earth.

The Bible tells us that God is perfect. Perfectly holy. Perfectly righteous. Perfectly loving.

This amazing God created and loves each of us, and wants us to have a relationship with Him. But because all of us have sinned, we cannot draw near to Him.

We can try to do good things, but we cannot earn God’s love simply because we are not perfect.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Sin Separates Us From God

Sin doesn’t mean ‘doing bad things’. It’s falling short of God’s perfection. Being perfectly righteous means that God will judge— if He does not judge us for our sin and imperfection, He is not God.

Watch this 5-minute video to explore what sin means, and why the story of Jesus is such good news.

Jesus, the Perfect Sacrifice

He sent Jesus His perfect Son, who did not sin, to came to earth to die on the cross and pay the price for our sins. Jesus took responsibility for everyone’s sin, past and present, so that we can be freed from our sin.

He died for us on the cross and rose from the dead, forever triumphing over the curse of death and restoring our relationship with God.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

A Gift for You and Me

While it was costly for Jesus, it is free for you and me. Through Jesus, God offers you and me the gift of forgiveness and freedom. Each of us have a choice to accept his love or to say ‘no’.

When we accept Jesus and place our trust in Him, we can be reconciled with our perfect God — not because we are good, but because God is good.

How can I accept Jesus?

It’s simple, we can take a step of faith and ask Jesus for forgiveness, and tell Him that we trust Him and accept His gift of love and forgiveness.

Use these words as a simple prayer, if you want to accept Jesus today.

Lord Jesus, I need You in my life.

Please forgive me for the things that I have done wrong. Thank You for dying on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free. Because of Your love, my sins have been washed clean. Please come into my life, I accept You as the Lord and Saviour of my life, now and forever.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
