QBC’S VISION
To become a Spirit-filled and fervently praying church family, raising generations of disciples and servant leaders and impacting our community and beyond for Christ.
“A Spirit-filled and fervently praying church family”
The Spirit-filled life is one that is dependent on the Holy Spirit.
Being a Christian does not begin with a transaction of belief in the gospel for salvation, nor does it proceed by growing in holiness by own effort. It is the Holy Spirit, as the intimate and personal presence of “God with us”, who is personally at work in us that sanctifies and empowers us as we grow in maturity and depend on Him.
“raising generations of disciples and servant leaders”
We are all created in the image of God.
However, because of sin, the image of God in man is distorted, and our relationships with God, others, ourselves, and the world are broken. Yet Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), came and lived a perfect and sinless life, restoring what was broken. As we follow him and obey him as Lord and Master, he works in us to transform us into his image – the imago Christi.
“impacting our community and beyond for Christ”
The mission of God is to redeem all creation and reign over it by reconciling sinners to himself through Christ.
This requires “the whole church to take the whole gospel to the whole world” (the Lausanne Covenant). It is carried out not only by missionaries, or through church programmes, but in the everyday lives of all believers. Each of us are to participate in the missio Dei by engaging in the community and workplace and transforming culture.
